Idaho Air Permits

Idaho DEQ requires a Permit to Construct (PTC) before constructing or modifying sources that emit or may emit air pollutants, unless exempt. Rock crushers and certain dairies may use a Permit by Rule registration instead. General permits cover concrete batch plants, hot mix asphalt plants, and automotive coating. Tier I operating permits are Idaho's Title V permits (DEQ is the EPA-delegated agency); Tier II operating permits set facility caps, synthetic minor limits, or other limits. Rules are in IDAPA 58.01.01.
